Welcome to another installation of Things To Do In Arizona For Free! Today we are visiting Mesa Arizona. Mesa is located about 19 miles by car along AZ 202 Loop, or 24 minutes non-stop from Phoenix.
I heard about this family-friendly. vegan event from this public flyer:

I took full-advantage of public transportation by catching the Light Rail to downtown Mesa. While on the train I saw other people in costumes so I felt good about being dressed up.
Once I got to the venue, I saw so many beautiful, colorful costumes, bright lights, and I heard plenty of laughter to go around. The vendors had trick-or-treat bowls for the children. The Vegan librarian read stories and even did a puppet show. There was a DJ playing the best music and the host held multiple costume contests, as well as dance offs for different categories like “under 12”, “13 and up”, & “family”. Good food and friendly people. You can never go wrong with that combination.
No need to ask, of course I got it on video especially for my readers. I hope it makes you smile and brightens your day/night.

Thank you for watching the video and sharing a few good times.
Backstory…I had not been to the “Vegan block party” since before the pandemic. I nearly forgot about it until I saw the flyer online. I would like to share a few photos that I had in my phone from the last time I was at the Vegan food truck venue.

There is nothing like being with like-minded people in a fun, and safe venue. Feel free to follow all of the vendors online and let them know you saw them here!
