Greetings Family, Thank you for joining me for another post. If you are returning, I thank & appreciate you. If you are new, Welcome! My name is Sunny and I usually write about downsizing as an empty-nester. I also have a few posts about traveling your city on a budget. Notice that I said I “usually” write about that.

For the last couple of weeks, I have not wanted to write at all. For that, I truly apologize for going MIA.😔

The blatant executions that have been going on AGAIN, like it did before Covid, is really starting to wear thin on my nerves. I’m feeling more anxious, more angry, and more fear about what will come next.

For me, the only way I find a little peace, is by either watching mystery movies, or listening to my music playlist for a couple of hours. Comment and let me know what you do to “calm your nerves”. Here is a waterfall for you to focus on.🥰

Something else has been bothering me too.

The constant changing of rules with YouTube! I have opted out of recording videos there for a while. Let me give you a back story so that you will know where I am coming from.

YouTube was created in 2005, and Google purchased it in 2006. I did not get into YouTube until 2009. In 2009, there were different communities according to your likes. I belonged to the “natural hair” community. We talked and made videos about black and bi-racial hair care. We watched videos of people who created formulas for hair growth, diy shampoo’s, etc. There were tons of videos on the hair shows and hair styles. There were even Meet-ups taking place where you could meet your favorite creators, purchase products, buy handmade earrings, crotchet outfits, hats, and more! We shared information WITHOUT ads, money-grabbing tactics, or memberships. We shared information and did it for the community!

Now, don’t get me wrong. I understand times have changed and people need to be paid for their time. With that being said. I still think that now in 2026, YouTube has left the “human” experience out and made a platform for ads and sponsors. Tons of people telling you what to do and how to do it. It’s no longer your content, it’s what do the sponsors want to put money in. The high views and suggestions go to the entertainment, gaming, financial, and how to build a YouTube channel creator. The bigger the creator, the more they get pushed out. There are so many “rules” now. You have to use the right thumbnail, use the right colors, use the right key words, use the right AI help, just to get your channel to be seen. They only want the young and beautiful to make them money. The creators are not of different ethnicities like before. It’s almost like a bad episode of the “Stepford Wives”. A world of AI bots and content.

Here are a few pictures…

You can’t “opt out” of this AI stuff and it’s everywhere you go. It’s on all your websites, all your phones, all your emails. Which really gives a new definition to the term “Big Brother Is Watching You”.

I’ve also noticed that a lot of people are not relying on YouTube to just show their channel to new people. Creators have been building their platform on other sites like Instagram, or TikTok, and then get their followers to come to YouTube. With me, I was trying to build my platform by bringing blog followers to YouTube and vice-versa. Since I was a “new”, small creator, my videos were not being shown or pushed out. I wasn’t following their demands, and after almost a year, I only had 7 subscribers. So yeah, I posted this today.

Call me old fashioned, but I miss the old YouTube so much. Everything AI is not the way to go. Where is the human touch without all the scripts and AI? What do you think? I would like to know if you are for everything AI or against.

So…what’s an alternative for me? I can write and use pictures. If I feel the need to create a video, I can post it on Bluesky for everyone, OR.. would you like a more “exclusive” video only posted on

There you have it. I have 3 questions for you to answer in today’s post. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Writing my thoughts have really helped me to calm down a lot today.

Until next time, remember..”Do More Of What Makes You Happy“.🤗
